Global energy demand can grow by more than 25% up to 2040

On Tuesday, November 13, the International Energy Agency (IEA) disclosed that global energy demand can grow by more than 25% by the year 2040, which would lead to an investment of more than $2 trillion per year.

The Executive director of the IEA, Fatih Birol, guarantees that 70% of the investments will be directed through governments and that the future of energy shall provide for governmental decisions. Birol further states that drafting certain policies will be key to meeting energy supply targets, reducing gas emissions, improving air quality, and also making basic energy reach places that have not yet.

With good decisions, it is possible to change both the economy and the environment, creating sustainable projects. It's up to the leaders to take the right steps and make the world better.
