The capitalization model to be adopted by Eletrobras should be presented to the remainder of the executive branch in June, according to the minister of the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), Bento Albuquerque, during Brazil Windpower, an event that has as its theme Main highlight the importance of wind energy in national territory, held in São Paulo (SP).
The project is expected to be forwarded to the National Congress in June for voting. Albuquerque also stated that the federal government seeks to bring greater governance and stability in the rules of the electric sector in order to heat the market by stimulating competitiveness.
On the line of transmission of Roraima, which interconnects Boa Vista (RO) to Manaus (AM), the minister said that the timeline is being maintained and that conversations with indigenous communities are being successful. "I believe that at the end of this semester we will have the installation license," he said.
Still according to Albuquerque, the mineral coal will have space as a source of energy in the next generation auctions so that its participation in the matrix (1.9%), can be maintained for another 10 years. In counter-departure, the Minister stressed the importance of renewable sources in Brazil and the goals of reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
