Enauta: CEO talks about the company's future

Last Wednesday (25), the CEO of Enauta, Décio Oddone, participated in the event Best of the Stock Exchange 2020 and talked about the company's planning to preserve cash and conduct large studies before operating in oil fields. "Enauta will not waste on[o caixa] fields that can be dried," the president said.

Oddone also stressed that the company will remain focused on exploration, but that it will now also be more closely eyeing possible mergers and acquisitions. For 2021, the objectives will be: results of exploration in its fields in Sergipe and Alagoas; the definition of making the Atlanta field a definitive system; and apply its new strategy of seeking the acquisition of fields in production.

On the long-term future, the CEO said he believes oil will still be exploited for a long time, but knows that the transition to cleaner energy is inevitable at some point. "The presence of renewable energy is going to grow, and that'[…]s good But we're going to need oil and gas for many decades yet," he said.

According to the president, there is already a proposal for sustainability that should be voted on in council soon: "We will deepen the issues of energy transition.""After our current phase I wanted to start looking at renewableener[…]gy Any energy company needs to look at this," he added.
