Energy bill expected to get more expensive in 2022

ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) predicts that next year energy tariffs will increase by about 16.68%. One of the reasons for this increase would be the water crisis that is currently being faced and should impact prices for some time.

Due to the dry season and the low reservoir level, thermoelectric plants have been used more frequently, thus resulting in more expensive bills. However, despite the high value of invoices, this has not been enough to cover the amount spent on energy generation.
