Solar energy appears in ranking for the first time

For the first time, a company in the photovoltaic sector was recognized in the Valor 1000 award, held by Valor in partnership with Serasa Experian and the São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP), which chooses the 25 best companies in its sectors. The 20th edition of the award took place this week, and ranked Aldo, leader in solutions for solar power generation in Brazil, as the best company in the country in the Wholesale and Foreign Trade sector.

The company rose 394 positions compared to last year's ranking, showing the growth of the solar industry in Brazil. According to data from the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (ABSOLAR), in the first five months of 2020, even with the impacts of the pandemic, the solar energy sector generated more than 37,000 jobs in Brazil. In May alone, 7,200 jobs were created, bringing R$ 1 billion in investments and more than R$ 424.5 million to public coffers.

Aldo, in turn, is the fastest growing company in the segment, being responsible for the commercialization of 100,000 generators in the last four years, out of a total of 300,000 systems in the country, according to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).
