Solar power grows and increases job creation

According to a survey by the Association Solar Photovoltaic Energy (Absolar), about 162,000 new systems photovoltaic solar power generation in Brazil were triggered – which growth of more than 130% compared to 2019. Also according to the association, there are now more than 300,000 photovoltaic systems of connected to the country's electricity grid.

The organization also found that there are more than 3.6 GW of distributed generation installed power, from solar energy sources across the country. The number represents more than 18.2 billion reais in accumulated investments since 2012, which has led to more than 200,000 jobs generated. It is worth remembering that in 2019, job creation reached 60,000 workers.
