Solar energy: more than 600,000 consumer units in the country

A study conducted by the Brazilian Energy Association Solar Photovoltaic (Absolar) showed that Brazil recently surpassed the mark of 600,000 consumer units with own generation of energy solar.

Data show that the mode now has more than 5.5 gigawatts (GW) of operational power installed in the country, in addition to being present in 5,297 municipalities.

Absolar also estimates that investments in the generation of solar energy have attracted at least R$ 28 billion in investments since 2012, and generated more than 166,000 jobs accumulated in the period. The information was disclosed by Valor Econômico.
