Electricity consumption in Brazil reached the best performance in September since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic, said last Thursday (8) the Chamber of Electric Energy Trading (CCEE). Consumption advanced 2.9% compared to the same month in 2019, and marks a gradual return of economic activities in Brazil. In April, demand fell 12%, amid recommendations for quarantine and social isolation. Levels returned to near normal ity in July, in slow recovery.
According to the EEC, in September there was a 0.5% increase in the consumption of customers of energy distributors, mainly residential. In the free energy market, where trades and industries trade directly with generators and traders, demand grew 8.4% compared to the same month in 2019. The sanitation, trade and beverage sector stands out here.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
