Equinor completes 20 years of national operations

The Norwegian energy global Equinor completes 20 years of operations in Brazil. During these two decades of national activity, more than US$ 11 billion has already been invested and it is estimated that by 2030, another US$ 15 billion will be added to investments in Brazil. Considered one of the largest offshore operators in the world, Equinor predicts that next year, about 300 million barrels of oil will be produced in the Peregrino field in the Campos Basin.

With a focus on becoming an energy company with zero net emissions by 2050, Equinor is currently the company that produces oil with the lowest emission rates in the world, and has set the goal of increasing the share of gross investment in renewable energy and low-carbon solutions to more than 50% by the year 2030.
