Buzios field has production record with 674,000 bpd

Last Tuesday (14), Petrobras announced that the platforms installed in the Field of Buzios, in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin, reached on Monday production records of 674,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and 844 thousand barrels of oil equivalent /day (boed). 

In a statement, the state-owned company said of the data: "It is a world-class asset with substantial reserves, low risk and low extraction cost." In addition, he pointed out that the previous record of production at the site had been recorded on June 27, when 664,000 bpd and 822,000 boed were produced.

According to Petrobras, Búzios is the largest deepwater oil field in the world and has four platforms in operation (P-74, P-75, P-76 and P-77).
