Spawning field begins to be sold

Petrobras informed on Friday (9) that it initiated the stage of disclosure of the sale of all its participation in the fields of Piranema and Piranema Sul, both located in deep water in the basin of Sergipe-Alagoas.

In this project, Petrobras, an operator with 100% participation, offers all the rights in the maritime concessions of Piranema, field in production, and Piranema Sul, undeveloped field, second communiqué.

The average oil production of the Piranema field was 4000 barrels a day last year. All the gas produced in the field is reinjected.

The sale is part of Petrobras ' Deinvestment plan, which aims to achieve US $21 billion in assets sold in 2017 and 2018 to alleviate its indebtedness.
