Fire in Mexican sea catches the eye

Last Friday (2), a fire at sea caused astonishment in those who heard the news. The incident, which was caused by the gas leak in an underwater pipeline located in the Gulf of Mexico region, required three firefighting vessels working for about 5 1/2 hours to control the flames. 

According to Pemex, the company responsible for facilities in the region, an analysis will be made to better identify what caused the incident that did not record injuries. A report obtained by Reuters indicates that heavy rains and an electrical storm would have hit the facility, causing the eventuality. The Mexican state-owned company said that at the time of the accident it was producing 726 bpd of oil.
