In a meeting held between representatives of Ford and the Union of the metalworkers of the ABC, the automaker reaffirmed its decision to close the factory of São Bernardo do Campo (SP). The meeting took place at the headquarters of the automobile manufacturer in Deadborn, United States.
According to information from the Coordinator-general of representation of Ford, José Quixabeira de Anchieta, the global direction of the manufacturer confirmed that three groups are interested in the purchase of the factory. Of these, two have more advanced proposals.
The representatives of the Automamaker did not reveal who the candidates are. The only company to publicly declare interest was Grupo Caoa, distributor of the brands Ford, Subaru, Hyundai and Chery in Brazil.
