New oil fragments were collected by the Navy in three more beaches in the northern state of Rio de Janeiro earlier this week. Last Saturday, the corporation also found traces of the material on the beach grussaí, in São João da Barra.
There is still no confirmation that the oil discovered is the same identified in Grussaí; however, the new samples have already been sent to the Analysis. According to the Navy, this time the fragments were removed from the beaches of Santa Clara and Guriri, in San Francisco de Itabapoana; and on the beach of the Barreto in Macaé.
The first time, the 300 grams of the material found were analyzed by the Admiral Paulo Moreira Sea Study Institute (IEAPM), which confirmed the compatibility of the oil with that found in the Northeast.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
