The FUP (Single Federation of Oil Tankers), said it will appeal the decision given by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, stf (Supreme Court), which favors Petrobras in a lawsuit filed by workers against the company. The minister's decision overturned the largest labor conviction ever imposed on the state.
For Deyvid Bacelar, general coordinator of the Single Federation of Oil Tankers (FUP), "it is surprising that a theme of this nature and complexity is decided in a monocratic way and during the recess period of the (STF)".
The lawsuit filed by the state's employees called for the recalculation of a 2007 collective bargaining agreement, which granted additional workers' wages. The initial estimate was that Petrobras would pay about R$ 17 billion to 51,000 employees and former employees in 47 class actions, in addition to more than 7,000 individual shares.
