Natural gas tariff should be reduced in Rio

According to the Secretary of Economic Development, Energy and International Relations, Lucas Tristão, the government of Rio de Janeiro will reduce the natural gas tariff for segments powered by the Naturgy dealership. The tariff will be revised by the Energy and Basic Sanitation Regulator (Agenersa) until April this year.

Tristan explains that the reassessment of the price of gas is made of five years, taking into account the investment plan of the concessionaire, which must be submitted to Agenersa. Depending on the plan and investments to be made, the concessionaire will be remunerated and this amount will enter the calculation of the tariff.

The secretary also states that in this review will already be investments to be made by Naturgy in the next five Years. Still, although it did not estimate a percentage of the reduction, the fare will be lower than the current one.
