Natural gas production grows and oil presents fall in June

According to the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, natural gas and biofuels), the production of natural gas grew and oil decreased in the month of June. The information was released by the agency through the Monthly Bulletin of the production of oil and Natural gas.

The production of oil and gas in the month of June was approximately 3,313 barrels of oil per day (boe/d). Natural gas production totaled 115 million cubic meters per day, having a high of 2.7% in relation to May of this year or 3.4% compared to the same month in 2017.

Most of the fuel production was extracted in the pre-salt fields, totalling 1.763 billion of oil barrels, a reduction of 4.2% compared to the previous month. The ANP alleges that the fall in the production of oil and gas was motivated by the stop of maintenance of the ship-platform FPSO City of Paraty, situated in the field of Lula, in the salt of the Santos basin.
