General Eletric uses drones to oversee refineries

General Electric Oil (GE) has initiated its test to oversee refineries and factories related to the oil, gas, transport and energy sectors using the technology with drones. The drone is one of the technologies that most has been calling the attention of entrepreneurs in the offshore segment. The professional drones are equipped to withstand heavy work and hostile environments and are equipment that can have many utilities.

This new investment from GE was announced at a conference held in Germany in Berlin. In addition to GE, companies like IBM already use this type of technology for inspection that appears as an alternative to lowering costs.
