The federal government has determined that the fine of R $2.5 billion of Petrobras is destined for the Ministry of Education. The decision denies the request of the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Sérgio Moro, who had filed a petition for the value to be passed on to the Ministry of Justice’s briefcase.
The money is derived from fines paid in the United States by Petrobras under Operation Lava Jato. The recommendation to allocate the funds for education was the Attorney General of the Republic, Raquel Dodge, who obtained authorization from President Jair Bolsonaro. The information is from Folha de S. Paulo.
