Government wants to reduce requirements for energy adherence in 2019

This Tuesday, December 11, the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) announced reduction of requirements for the accession of the energy-free market starting next year. With this, large consumers will be able to negotiate directly with generators and electric power traders.

The prediction is that this measure will take effect on July 1, 2019, and energy consumers with loads greater than 2.5 megawatts can do direct trading. The reduction was 3.0 megawatts to 2.5 megawatts capacity.

In the regulatory market, consumers will buy the energy of companies with tariffs defined by the National Electricity Agency (ANEEL).
