Last Monday (28), Petrobras reported opening of arbitration proceedings against Odebrecht, with compensation collection of approximately R$ 800 million. The process involves the petrochemical company Braskem, whose control is divided between the two companies – Odebrecht with a 38.3% total stake against 36.1% of Petrobras. In a statement, the state said that the justification for the request for arbitration would be a violation of the terms of agreement of braskem shareholders, which in turn is not the target of the process.
Also last Monday, the oil company had also reported 23 involved in Lava Jato, including Marcelo Odebrecht, about the collection of million-dollar indemnities due to corruption schemes that diverted public funds from the company.
