Incentive for energy efficiency in Brazil

The Government of Sao Paulo has signed a co-operation agreement with the Brazilian Association of energy conservation services, aimed at promoting energy efficiency actions in public and private buildings and the creation of technical courses focused on the labour market of renewable energies and energy efficiency.

The partnership establishes that the institutions will work together in public policies aimed at the practical application of energy efficiency actions in all kinds of buildings in the State of São Paulo, which could be adopted in other regions of the country.

In the list of projects, are the creation of two courses, being a renewable energy systems, to training of mid-level technicians, while the other will be at the top level, Energy management technology/energy efficiency. Other action studied is the possibility of extending the credit lines in Fostering agency Paulista Develops SP for energy efficiency projects.
