Petrobras' oil exports to China soared in the second quarter. The Asian country accounted for 87% of total foreign production in the period, compared to 48% in the first quarter.
For the oil company, the result shows the strong commercial relationship with the country. Moreover, in this second quarter, China is already experiencing a different time from the covid-19 pandemic.
In total, exports of oil, derivatives and others reached R$ 14.973 billion in the second quarter, down 3% in the year and 39.4% in the quarterly comparison. The country that bought the most derivatives was Singapore, which accounted for 49% of exports in the quarter, up from 53% in the first quarter. The second main buyer was the United States, with 35%.
