Iraq receives proposals for oil exploration

As an attempt to increase revenues in the energy sector, Iraq reported that in June it will receive proposals to develop projects in nine oil and gas fields. The official and detailed information must be informed by the end of November.

According to Abdul-Mahdi al-Ameedi, director of the Department of Licensing and Contracts of the Iraqi Ministry of Petroleum, as encouraging companies that make deals for the projects, they may, for the first time, work in the elaboration of contracts. Of the nine blocks, five are shared with Iran, three with Kuwait and one is in the Persian Gulf.
