Justice suspends injunction preventing sale of block BM-S-8 to Statoil

Petrobras reported that is suspended the injunction that prevented the sale of 66% of the brazilian State's participation in the exploratory block BM-S-8, where's the prospect of Carcará, dos Santos basin pre-salt, the Norwegian oil company Statoil. The decision was made by the President of the Federal Court of the 5th region.

The transaction had been suspended in April this year, after popular action filed by the National Federation of Tankers (FNP), the second Federal Court of Justice of Sergipe. The FNP alleged that the sale of the stake had been held without public bidding. The sales transaction Statoil had been completed last November by the payment of $ $1.25 billion, which corresponds to 50% of the total value of the transaction.
