The facility is also responsible for 16% of the flow of oil produced in the Campos Basin to duque refineries Caxias (Reduc), in Rio de Janeiro, and Gabriel Passos (Regap), in Minas Gerais. The existence of the pre-salt and the installation of a petrobras' new headquarters in Macaé were also strong drivers for the income generation in the city.
