Launched onshore exploration incentive program

As reported previously by Offshore Panorama, was released last weekend (20 January), in Salvador, Bahia, the program of Revitalization of the activities of exploration and production of oil and gas in Inland Areas (Create), which aims to triple up to 2030 the onshore production in Brazil.

Create proposal provides for the production of 500,000 bpd, heights nowadays achieved by Argentina and Ecuador. Brazil currently produces about 143,000 barrels per day of oil and 26 million m ³/day in eight States. Another important point is the possibility of generating more than 10000 new direct and indirect jobs, as well as promote the encomia of numerous Brazilian municipalities.

In his speech, during the launch, the Minister of mines and energy, Fernando Coelho Filho, scored the proposal of program seeks the recovery of companies operating onshore, as well as the creation of thousands of jobs in the countryside.

The project also seeks to improve the environment of competitive natural gas production, seeking to offer more support for regional industrial development in regions of the Northeast, Midwest and northern Brazil. Through the month of March the guidelines of measures must be completed, being placed on public consultation in April and submitted the assessment of the National Council of energy policy (CNPE).
