Lebanon requests proposals for offshore blocks

The Lebanon recently announced your intention to restart a licensing round for oil and gas and, for it, is requesting proposals for five offshore blocks. The announcement comes more than three years after a round has been postponed due to internal political crisis. The new offer is seen as a first significant step towards the development of the industry of Lebanese hydrocarbons.

The Lebanese Government approved two decrees defining the geographic parameters of the blocks, specifying the bidding process and defined a model of exploration and production to be signed with participating companies. The licensing round will allow companies to make proposals in order to obtain a license for offshore exploration and production.
