Total license in Mexico

The Total company won the license for exploitation of offshore Mexico blocks 3, after the first competitive deep water of the country round. The French company is the operator of block 2 in the Lost with a participation of 50%, while ExxonMobil has the remaining 50%. The block covers a surface area of 2,977 square kilometers in water depths ranging from 2,300 to 3,600 meters.

In the basin of Salina, Total won a 33.3% stake, along with Statoil (33.4%) and BP (33.3%), 1 block (2,381 km ²) and 3 (3,287 km ²).
