Lula's extreme South area starts oil production

Petrobras started the production of oil and natural gas in the area of Lula Extremo Sul, in the pre-salt of the Santos basin, with the platform P-69. This is the eighth unit installed in the Lula field.

Petrobras is the largest operator in the area, with 65%, in partnership with Shell (25%) and Petrogal (10%) in the BM-S-11 consortium. The capacity of the P-69 platform is up to 1,502 thousand barrels of oil daily and up to 6 million m³ per day of natural gas.

This expansion of oil production in the Santos basin can promote greater movement in the offshore market and impact on positive reflections for the country's economy.
