Petrobras announced that it has signed a letter of intent with the Japanese company Modec and Malaysian Yinson for the chartering of FPSOs (platform ship that can produce, store and transfer oil and gas) Marlim 1 and Marlim 2, who will participate in the project Revitalization of the mature countryside of the Campos basin.
Marlim 1 will be able to process up to 80000 bpd (barrels per day) of petroleum and Marlim 2, 70000 bpd and natural gas, 7 million m³/day and 4 million m³/day, respectively.
The start of production is planned for the years 2022 and 2023, already the plan of revitalization of the field of Marlim and flying, Petrobras project that involves the withdrawal of nine FPSOs and installation of two new units, should start in this year.
