Military is appointed new director general of the ANP

Last Tuesday (17), it was announced the name that will replace the current director general of the National Agency of Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), Décio Oddone. It is the rear admiral Rodolfo Henrique de Savoy, appointed by President Jair Bolsonaro. The act was published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette (DOU).

The nomination has yet to be evaluated by the Federal Senate. Saboia has been in the reserve since 2012 and is currently superintendent of the Environment of the Directorate of Ports and Coasts in the Navy.

The ANP is responsible for regulating and supervising the oil and fuel sectors in the country, defining rules from exploration to gas stations.
