Minister seeks investors for the petroleum industry

In order to attract investors to the oil and gas business in Brazil, the Minister of mines and energy, Fernando Rabbit Son, travelled to India and Iran and participated in the opening ceremony of a fair in New Delhi, in India, chaired by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, which also was attended by energy ministers and oil from other countries like Afghanistan, Nigeria and Qatar.

In his speech the Minister mentioned that Brazil must conduct three auctions of oil and gas areas in 2017, one of them being involving in the pre-salt blocks. Before his stint in India, the Minister had been in Iran, where he met with the Finance Ministers, Ali Tayyebnia and oil, Biajn Zangeneh, to seek investment opportunities for the two countries.
