Eneva and AES Tietê merge for power generation

This week, Eneva Energia sent a proposal to the AES Tietê, from the North American AES. In the document, Eneva cites a combination of business between the two companies with a focus on creating a 'giant in the power generation.'

The proposal is R$ 6.9 billion to incorporate AES Tietê, and the investment plan is R$ 3 billion by 2021. Offer is valid for 60 days and still awaits analysis of the American. If approved, the new business would result in the second largest private energy generation company in Brazil.

Eneva is owned by the Moreira Salles family and, in its portfolio, leads by commanding several gas thermal power plants, of which 78% are in operation.
