MME states that there is no risk of power rationing

Despite the worst water crisis in the last 91 years, Christiano Vieira da Silva, Secretary of Electricity of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), said there is no risk of energy rationing in the country this year.

He believes that the measures that have been taken – such as the use of thermoelectric plants – will be sufficient for reservoir levels to be adequate in November, the end of the dry season.
