Municipality of Maricá receives R $262 million in special participations

Maricá, the largest oil royalties collector in the state of Rio de Janeiro, had a reduction in the value of paid onlendings for the municipalities producing oil. The first quarterly installment of this year suffered a 6.5% reduction in special interests (PE).

The municipality received R $262 million referring to the special participation (PE) of oil exploration. Although it was a large amount, the amount suffered decrease compared to the receipt of the last transfer.

The Special participations (PE) are extraordinary financial compensations owed by the oil or natural gas exploration and production distributors, passed on to the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural gas and biofuels (ANP) due to high Productivity of the oil fields in the Brazilian coastal basins.
