New oil field discovered in Abadan, Iran

A new area of crude oil was discovered by Iran’s National petroleum Company. According to the country’s minister, Bijan Zanganeh, it is the first time that crude oil has been found in the Abadan region, located in the province of Cuzistan, Iran.

The news was released after the completion of the report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), which concluded that Iran’s oil production decreased by 520,000 barrels per day in December, below 2.8 million for October 2018. The discovery can enlarge the oil production in the country.
