Petrobras has already initiated the production of oil and natural gas from the P-75 platform, in Búzios 2, in the pre-salt of the Santos basin. This is the second drive installed in the field. Operations began this Sunday (11). The P-75 has the capacity to process up to 150 million barrels of oil per day.
According to the state, the platform, of type FPSO (floating unit of production, storage and transfer of oil and gas), is approximately 210 kilometers from the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in a depth of water of 2,000 meters. The production of P-75 will be carried out by means of 10 producing wells and seven injector wells.
The P-75 is the fourth platform that goes into production this year. Before the operation, the FPSO city Campo dos Goytacazes, in the field of green Turtle, P-69, in the field of Lula and P-74, in the field of Búzios, had begun the operations. According to Petrobras, two more platforms should join the six systems planned for 2018 in December. They are the P-67, in the field of Lula, and the P-76, in Búzios.
The company highlighted that all platforms contribute to the production of Petrobras, being part of the business plan and management 2018-2022. The Búzios field, discovered in 2010, represents the main area of the onerous assignment, a contract that allows the pre-salt to sell up to 70% of the exploitation rights, equivalent to 5 billion barrels of oil for the private sector.
