No Bolivian government, gas import paralyzes

During a seminar “What now, Brazil?”, promoted by the “Globo” and economic value, at the headquarters of the National Confederation of Trade, Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC), in Rio de Janeiro, the Director-General national agency for oil, natural gas and biofuels (ANP), Décio Oddone said that it will not yet be possible to resume negotiations for the recontracting the import of natural gas from Bolivia until there is a definition of the new government in the country.

“There has to be a legitimate government on the other side with conditions to sign this contract, with new volumes and new price. While this does not solve itself, it is hard to believe that this story will have an end”, Said

Oddone also said that the first renegotiation was the bolivia’s gas purchase contract of 30 million m3/day and that this had that be done by Brazilian companies with YPFB – Bolivian public company dedicated to the exploration, distillation and sale of oil and its derivatives – which in the case, it is controlled by the government.
