New oil policy has multiannual plans for auctions

It was made official by the Government a new policy for exploration of oil and natural gas in the country providing for multiannual plans for auctions in the sector, which should point to the next five years and be updated in due course. The new rules of the National Council of energy policy (CNPE) have already been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the CNPE, politics will prioritize maximizing the recovery of stocks, quantification of the oil potential of the country and the intensification of exploratory activities, beyond adequate existing reserves monetization.
