New Director-General of NPA is announced at the opening of the Carnival Rio Oil & Gas

The opening of the Rio Oil & Gas was also marked by the announcement of the name of the new Director-General of NPA by the Minister of mines and energy, Fernando Coelho Son. Decio Oddone was appointed to the position currently occupied by Magda Chambriard, whose mandate ends on November 4. The Executive was President of Petrobras Bolivia and Petrobras Energia s.a and currently occupied the Board of oil and gas from Plumb logistics.

Fernando Coelho said that other measures under consideration in the Government should be announced this year, as the regulation for the use and extension of the fiscal regime of Repetro, beyond the end of the single-operator already announced-and the Government's recognition of the need for changes in local content rules.

Another sensitive topic to the Treaty at the opening of the Rio Oil was local content. The President also said that Petrobras are necessary "changes in local content policy, you have to be guided by competitive bases", focusing on incentives and not penalties. "We need to develop the national [de fornecedores]industry to enter global value chains," he said.
