National fuel consumption rose 1.31%

According to data of the national agency of petroleum, Natural gas and biofuels (ANP), were sold in the month June, 11.386 billion liters of fuel in Brazil, an increase of 1.31%, compared with the same period last year. Diesel consumption was high for the second consecutive month at 1.3%, totaling 4.678 billion liters.

The total shows that the diesel market is starting to give positive signals that can be almost ready to resume growth and get out of a crisis that has been dragging on for some time. Gas consumption also obtained an increase of 11.6% in June, with total of 3.762 billion liters, and the year, accumulated growth of 7.3%.

Sales of fuels for Otto-cycle vehicles with ethanol or gasoline engines, also accumulate high of 2.1 percent in the year. Only natural gas, fuel oil and aviation kerosene had fall in consumption of 1.5%, 20% and 2.6%, respectively.
