The production of oil in the pre-salt layer of Brazil has been more amazing every day. In June, the numbers have exceeded expectations with production greater than the post salt. From 77 wells, and corresponding to approximately 49.6% of the Brazilian production of oil and gas, the total produced in the month of June was 1.686 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, number 6.4% compared to may.
In all, oil production in Brazil was 2,675,000 barrels per day (bbl/d 1,321.813, in the post-salt), a growth of 0.8%, compared with the previous month and 4.5 percent over the same month in 2016. Production of natural gas in Brazil the total was 111 million cubic meters per day, an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period in 2016 and 6.1% in May. Only in the pre-salt layer, the production was approximately 53 million cubic meters per day.
The Lula field in the Santos basin, was the largest producer of oil and natural gas. The maritime fields produced 95.3% 80.8% of the oil and natural gas. The total production of Brazil took place in 8,220 wells, marine and terrestrial being 744 7,476.
The increase of oil in Brazil opens to investors and companies more interested in participating in the next rounds of the ANP bidding, scheduled to happen until 2019. Only in September, 287 sedimentary basins blocks must be offered in the 14th round of the ANP Bidding, totaling approximately 122,600 km ² in the maritime areas of Sergipe-Alagoas, Espírito Santo, Campos, Santos and pellets and terrestrial basins of Paraná, Paranaíba, Potiguar, Recôncavo, among others.
