Oil price soars after explosion in Beirut

Oil prices on the international market skyrocketed after the explosion in the port area of Beirut, lebanon's capital, which left at least ten dead on Tuesday (04).

Around 2 p.m., wti oil rose 1.19%, to $41.50. Brent rose 0.48 percent to $44.36. It is worth remembering that earlier on Tuesday, the commodity's price was falling.

So far, Lebanese authorities do not yet know the cause of tragedy. However, the Lebanese government has already confirmed that the explosion "left a high number of wounded and caused damage to the city."
