Maricá, a municipality in Rio de Janeiro, has been gaining prominence throughout the year for being considered the city that most obtains income originating from oil, being the owner of the largest slice of the confrontation of the Lula field, with 49%. In the last eight months, the municipality has received R $930 million of which half is for special shareholdings and the other party for royalty resources.
The prefecture of Maricá, in order to preserve the capital and its use, announced the creation of the sovereign fund, in which it refers about 5% of the collections of special shareholdings and royalties. The project already accumulates R $62.7 million in the bank of the Federal economic box, with deposits held monthly, since the month of April.
