Operation inspects fuel stations in Brazil

An operation coordinated by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, with the participation of Institutes for Consumer Protection and Defense (Procons) of different states of the country, took place last Thursday (8). Petróleo Real, as it was called, taxed gas stations to combat irregularities, fuel tampering and the issuance of counterfeit invoices.

The action happened randomly and simultaneously in some states, such as Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, so that there was no information leakage. During the inspection, there were tests such as: the quality and value of the gasoline, site documentation, the operation of the supply pumps and whether there was distinction in the payment made by cash and card, since the act is illegal. In case of proof of any irregularity, the person responsible was fined and the place fined.
