P-67 of Petrobras arrives in Brazil to operate in the field of Lula

Petrobras announced last Wednesday, July 18th, the arrival of a new platform in the field of Lula, in the pre-salt of the Santos basin. The P-67 came from China after a 45-day trip, and is located in Guanabara Bay, where it will remain until the testing phase is completed.

The P-67 was an order for national contractors and shipyards, which were involved in irregularities, resulting in the suspension of contracts with Petrobras, causing the state to send it to China, in 2015, for the completion of the construction of the Platform, completed in May of this year.

The platform has 353,000 tons, 288m length, 54m width and 31m height. Its estimated production capacity is 150,000 barrels of oil per day and 6 million cubic meters of natural gas, and also counts with water treatment systems, water injection and CO2 removal and reinjection.

The North Squid production system is operated by Petrobras, which has 65% participation in a consortium that has as partners the Shell companies, with 25%, and the Galp, 10%. Production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
