Paradise on earth, the Eden project uses geothermal energy

The Eden project located in Cornwall, England, is a complex with various environments. The energy of the site is geothermal, which reduces the amount of pollutants that are generated, and because they do not require power plants, becomes more economical. As a kind of paradise on earth, due to its landscape exuberant, the project that took more than 2 years to complete was opened in 2001.

The site that was a wasteland of industrial waste and already featured with the presentation of Elton John, Oasis, and Lionel Richie, as well as rowing and cycling competitions and literary festival events, adopted the geothermal energy in order to reduce its carbon emissions and provide electricity and heating system to local homes.

The place that attracts many visitors also has some innovations to avoid wasting water, such as automatic shutdown of taps, rainwater collection and reuse of water. In addition various activities involving science and art are developed on site.
