The Bellavista Industrial Park, in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro, in the year 2018 showed a significant economic improvement in the oil and gas sector, with the prediction of ending the period with 37% of the spaces already filled by oil companies.
According to Leonardo Dias, director of the Bellavista Industrial Park, it was from the fourth semester of 2017 that the negotiations returned due to the bids made by Petrobras with national and foreign State. In total the area already has 17 companies operating are them: Schlumberger, Petrobras, Baker Hughes, National Oilwell Varco, CISA Trading, MJ Environmental Services, Arctest, Starnav, Cofranza, Supermix, Inter Tank, NOV Tuboscope, Swire oilfield Services, Superior Energy Services, Dynamic Air, Global AF and Schoeller Bleckman.
The Director also informed that the forecast of growth for next year, is even greater due to the opening of the market for other carriers, the revitalization of mature wells, new auctions and resumption of hiring by Petrobras. The Macaé region is known for being one of the main areas of high concentration of oil activities.
