Parliamentarians want to bar redistribution of royalties

Days after the Minister of the Supreme Court, Dias Toffoli, to March 20 the preliminary analysis granted by the Minister Cármen Lucia in the direct action of unconstitutionality (ADI) 4,917, authored by the Government of Rio, to bar the redistribution Billionaires of oil exploration royalties from March 2013 to all municipalities in the country, federal deputies and senators from Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo and São Paulo created a front to hold royalties in the coastal basins of their states.

The argument used for the creation of the front is the defense of strengthening the box of States. With the redistribution of royalties, Rio de Janeiro, for example, which currently receives R $13 billion per year, may have a drop to R $6 billion annually, which could break from time a government that currently has its accounts in a situation of calamity. The same is also to occur with other producing states.

Hearings are already being scheduled between members of the front with the Minister of Supreme Dias Toffoli and the Director-General of the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and biofuel, Décio Oddone.
